Reasons to love your Honda car

From being called a "Ricer" to having modifications written off as a waste of money, I have gotten a list of criticisms when people find out that I drive and modify my Honda.

Yes, Civics aren't sports cars. They're initially designed as economical daily drivers. However, they're great cars. They're cheap, reliable, and relatively easy to fix. And did I mention the seemingly infinite amount of aftermarket parts available for them?

The thing is, Honda lovers understand what many people don't. It's not just about having a fast car; it's about putting in the time, money, and hard work into creating a car that you can truly call your own.

My 1995 del Sol is my first car. It is also my project car and my daily driver. From first learning how to drive to working on suspension upgrades, this little car has been with me during my first steps into the automotive world and continues to grow with me today.

And that's why I love my Honda.

1. its good to take pride in what you own. especially if you work hard on it/ for it. its just a shame that there are countless people out there giving Hondas a horrible name. its true, the ricers kill it for everyone, even non-honda people.

2. I think people don't understand because they wouldn't care to put in time and get their hands dirty when it comes to their car. Then you have others who can afford to just get everything put on by a shop without any sweating involved on their part, which is fortunate for them but everything has a pro and a con to it. You definitely have to heart on building your project car, no matter what if it's a Honda or not.

I own a BB6 as my daily driver along with my built & boosted weekend warrior DSM. It seems that you'll always find more Honda aftermarket parts out there, which gives you a lot more options for your build. Good luck with your project and ignore the haters.

3. I love my Honda Odyssey, but am a large person and could not get a seat belt extender through Honda. Honda was forcing me to break the law in Arizona, which requires that you wear a seat belt. After three years of asking Honda for help, I finally found a third part which makes a seat belt extender for the Honda Odyssey.

my wife retired and we needed a second car, I wanted to look at Honda's, but am not willing to go through the humiliation and anguish of not fitting in the standard belt and not being able to get an extender. I went with a Toyota for our second car.

Hopefully some day Honda will begin offering larger seat belt options (for an additional cost) or seat belt extenders. I still have my 2000 Odyssey, love it, and will enjoy it, but will not replace it without a viable seat belt option available through the manufacturer.

Honda, please address this issue in your new car lineup!

I UNDERSTAND IM GOEN THREW THE SAME SHYT.I HAVE A 1991 HONDA CIVIC DX HATCHBACK.MY 1ST CAR PLUS IS MANUEL SO THAT WAS HARD FOR ME.BUT I BUT BASICALLY ALL MY SPARE TIME INTO.EVEN MY GIRL IS JEALOUS OF MY CAR A LIL.YOU FROM LOWERING IT, TO PUTTING SUSPENSIONS,TO PUTTING AFTER MARKET PRODUCTS,POINT IS I LOVE MY HONDA.ITS HAS IT PROS N CONS ALSO BUT I DONT CAR BETTER THAN A FORD(FIX OR REPAIR DAILY),THATS WHAT I USE TO DRIVE BEFORE THE HONDA SHYT WAS SO UNRELIABLE
